After spending the early part of his working life in Research and IT functions with Shell, Malcolm moved from "User" to "Vendor", working in Computer graphics, and Telecommunications companies in support management, marketing director and product management roles.

Following a spell as an "Industrial Storyteller" founding and running a high-tech PR company he became one of the group who founded Speed-Trap, and is listed as one of the patentees behind their Dynamic Collection technology. This unique approach to data gathering makes Speed-Trap unique in the market.

Malcolm has spoken around the world on the application of advanced technology to business applications and with Speed-Trap has focused on helping marketing functions within e-businesses understand just what can be achieved by close analysis of the way their customers interact with their web sites and applications.

Using Speed-Trap's unique dataset Malcolm and the Speed-Trap analysts have been able to help major B2B and B2C internet businesses realise triple-digit improvements in their conversion rates, and marketing campaign ROI. While he is not a web designer, in 7 years of working in this area he has gained a unique perspective on what works and what does not in the online world."

Simon Burton - VP Sales
Simon has 25 years’ IT/Computing sales and sales management experience. He has been Vice President of Sales at Speed-Trap since its inception in 1999. Simon is responsible for all aspects of sales and business development strategy and implementation in order to ensure that the Company meets corporate sales and revenue goals. In addition to heading up the sales function team at Speed-Trap, Simon has a hands-on role developing strategic relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s), Value Added Reseller (VAR) relationships along with strategic End Users.

Prior to Speed-Trap, Simon was Sales Director (EMEA) for Maxoptix Corporation for seven years, a pioneer in optical technology, where he successfully established their international offices and devised and implemented a successful pan-European indirect channel strategy. He was also responsible for developing and managing the Corporation’s European OEM accounts and specialised in the medical imaging, Telco/switching systems & broadcast/AV editing manufacturers throughout EMEA.

Simon's experience of implementing effective indirect business relationships is ideally suited to Speed-Trap's chosen indirect business model, which allows the company to support global sales into a wide variety of vertical and horizontal markets via the company's extensive range of partnerships and resellers.
